Norma Michaels (March 13, 1924 – January 11, 2020) was an American television and film character actress, known for her portrayal of elderly woman roles. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Michaels began her acting career in 1954 and worked steadily until 2018. She gained recognition for her role as 'Josephine' on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens. Additionally, she appeared in popular TV shows such as Modern Family, Highway to Heaven, and Everybody Loves Raymond. Michaels also had notable film roles in Easy A, Wedding Crashers, and Hello, My Name Is Doris. She briefly worked as a counselor/therapist during the 1980s. Michaels passed away on January 11, 2020.
