Odell Cornelious Beckham Jr., commonly known as OBJ, is an American football wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. Born on November 5, 1992, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Beckham played college football at LSU and was selected by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. During his time at LSU, he started in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game and won the Paul Hornung Award in 2013. Despite missing the first four games of his rookie season due to injury, Beckham broke numerous NFL rookie receiving records and became the first player to surpass 75 receptions, 1,100 yards, and ten touchdowns in a debut season. He also made a remarkable one-handed touchdown catch during Week 12 of his rookie year, gaining national attention.
