Odessa Rae is a Canadian-born, American film producer and actor. She is known for her work in both producing and acting in various films and TV shows. Odessa has appeared in feature films such as Hard Candy, Smallville, and Movie 43. Additionally, she played a key role in the formation of Ivanhoe Pictures, which produced the highly successful film Crazy Rich Asians. In 2021, Rae launched RaeFilm Studios and is currently focused on developing and producing non-fiction content. She is currently working on a documentary about the war in Ukraine alongside producer Karim Amer. Odessa's early life was spent between North America, Asia, and India, and she studied International Relations at the University of Toronto. She is fluent in Japanese and conversational in several other languages.
