Oh Young-soo

Oh Young-soo, also known as O Yeong-su, is a South Korean actor born on October 19, 1944. With a career spanning over several decades, he has appeared in numerous theatre productions, boasting an impressive portfolio of over 200 shows. Oh Young-soo later transitioned into film and television, gaining recognition for his portrayal of monks, which stemmed from his background in Buddhist plays. In 2021, he gained worldwide popularity for his role as Oh Il-nam in the Netflix survival drama 'Squid Game.' This performance earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film, as well as a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
