Olga Fonda Biography
Olga Tchakova, professionally known as Olga Fonda, is a Russian-American actress and model. She gained recognition for her role as Nadia Petrova in the hit TV series The Vampire Diaries from 2013 to 2014. Born in the Siberian region of Russia, Fonda grew up in Ukhta, Komi ASSR. Her father owned grocery stores in the Russian villages where she spent her childhood. At the age of 14, she lived in Maine, USA, as an exchange student before returning to attend the University of Maine at Augusta, where she studied financial management. Fonda's modeling career began after being scouted by agent Paul Fisher while on vacation in Los Angeles. She has since appeared in TV commercials and the 2009 film Love Hurts.
