Omid Djalili Biography
Omid Djalili (born 30 September 1965) is an Iranian-British actor, comedian, and writer. He gained recognition for his stand-up comedy career, starting with successful performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the mid-1990s. Djalili has since performed in various countries, including Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, Canada, and the United States, where he had his own HBO Special. Born in Chelsea, London, to Iranian Baháʼí parents, Djalili attended Holland Park School and later Ulster University in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. He has appeared on several British TV shows, including a celebrity driver on Top Gear and participating in a show for Comic Relief after the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.
