Pamela Blair (December 5, 1949 – July 23, 2023) was an American actress best known for originating the role of Val in the musical A Chorus Line. She also made several appearances on American soap operas. Born in Bennington, Vermont, Blair moved to New York City at age 16 to pursue her dreams of becoming a dancer. She studied dance at The National Academy of Ballet and acting at HB Studio. Blair's career took off when she was hired by Michael Bennett for his productions Promises, Promises and Seesaw. She will be remembered as a talented actress and for her contributions to the world of musical theater.
