Pamela Sue Martin (born January 5, 1953) is an American actress best known for her roles as Nancy Drew in the television series The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (1977–1979) and as Fallon Carrington Colby in the ABC soap opera Dynasty (1981–1984). Born in Westport, Connecticut, Martin started her career as a model at the age of 16 and made her film debut in The Poseidon Adventure (1972). She went on to appear in other films such as Our Time and Buster and Billie. Martin transitioned to television at the insistence of her manager and gained popularity as Nancy Drew, becoming a teen idol. She left the show due to frustrations with the merging of the series, but her portrayal of Nancy remains iconic.
