Patrick Kiernan (born November 20, 1968) is a Canadian-American television host and actor. He is best known as the morning news anchor of NY1 since 1997, where he gained popularity for his 'In the Papers' segment, offering witty summaries of New York City's daily newspapers. Kiernan began his career in radio before transitioning to television as a news anchor in Edmonton, Canada. In 1993, he moved to New York City to work for Time Warner, eventually becoming the anchor of NY1's morning show. Kiernan has also appeared in various films and television shows, both as himself and as a reporter.
