Pat Summerall
George Allen 'Pat' Summerall (May 10, 1930 – April 16, 2013) was an American football player and television sportscaster. He worked for CBS, Fox, and ESPN, announcing major golf and tennis events in addition to football. Summerall holds the record for announcing the most Super Bowls on network television, with 16 under his belt. He also announced 26 Masters Tournaments and 21 US Opens. Prior to his career in broadcasting, Summerall played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and in the NFL from 1952 to 1961. As a kicker with the New York Giants, he had his best playing years. After retiring, Summerall continued to occasionally announce games, particularly those close to his Texas home. He was a recipient of the National Sportscaster of the Year award.
