Patricia Brake Biography
Patricia Ann Kennedy (25 June 1942 – 28 May 2022), known professionally as Patricia Brake, was an English actress. She gained recognition for her role as Ingrid Fletcher in the BBC sitcom Porridge and its sequel Going Straight. Brake was born in Bath on 25 June 1942 and attended the City of Bath Girls' School. She trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and later joined the Salisbury Playhouse. Brake's career included performances with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she played Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream alongside Judi Dench, Diana Rigg, Ian Richardson, and Ian Holm. She also appeared in numerous television series.
