Patricia Field is an American costume designer, stylist, and fashion designer known for her work in movies and TV shows. Born on February 12, 1942, in New York City, Field was raised in Queens. She studied government and philosophy at New York University. Field opened her first boutique, Pants Pub, in 1966 in Greenwich Village. Later, she renamed it Patricia Field and moved it to various locations. In 2016, Field sold the boutique to focus on costume designing. She is credited with originating unique and bold fashion trends, and her work has been featured in numerous popular television shows and films. In 2018, she opened the ARTFashion Gallery on the Lower East Side, showcasing art and original clothing by selected artists.
