Patricia Hodge Biography
Patricia Ann Hodge, OBE (born 29 September 1946) is an English actress known for her on-screen roles in various TV shows and films. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Phyllida Erskine-Brown in Rumpole of the Bailey (1978–1992), Jemima Shore in Jemima Shore Investigates (1983), Penny in Miranda (2009–2015), and Mrs Pumphrey in All Creatures Great and Small (2021–present). Hodge made her West End debut in 1972 and has received two Olivier Award nominations for Best Actress in a Musical. She won the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2000 for her role in Money. Hodge has also appeared in notable films and TV adaptations such as Betrayal (1983), The Life and Loves of a She-Devil (1986), and Hotel du Lac (1986), for which she received a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best Actress. Born in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, Hodge is the daughter of Eric and Marion Hodge.
