Patrick Tovatt

Patrick Tovatt (born December 11, 1940) is an American actor known for his work on soap operas. He portrayed Zane Lindquist on Another World (1985–1986), Matt McCleary on Search for Tomorrow (1986), and Cal Stricklyn on As the World Turns (1988–1998, 2001). Tovatt received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his role on As the World Turns in 1994. He attended Burris Laboratory School in Muncie, Indiana, before studying playwriting at Antioch College. Tovatt also studied directing at the London Film School. He was a member of the original company of the American Conservatory Theater and appeared at the Actors Theatre of Louisville for 14 seasons. Tovatt retired to Grants Pass, Oregon.
