Paul Blackthorne is an English actor known for his roles in films and television shows. Born on 5 March 1969 in Shropshire, he spent his early childhood on UK military bases in Britain and Germany. Blackthorne started his acting career with television commercials in England, gaining recognition through the successful Grim Reaper commercial for Virgin Atlantic. He made his film debut in the Academy award-nominated Hindi-language film Lagaan in 2001. Since then, he has appeared in various American films and TV shows, including recurring roles in ER and 24 in 2004, as well as being a regular cast member in The Dresden Files, Lipstick Jungle, and Arrow.
