Paul Brightwell Biography
Paul Brightwell is an English actor and director known for his work in theatre, film, and television. He began his career in the late 1980s and has since appeared in numerous plays, movies, and TV shows. Brightwell's notable theatre direction includes the British premieres of Heiner Muller's Hamletmachine and Witkiewicz's They. He gained recognition for his role as Uriah Heep in the TV series David Copperfield in 1986. In the film Titanic, he portrayed Quartermaster Robert Hichens, who was at the ship's wheel during its collision with the iceberg. Brightwell has also had guest appearances in The Bill and portrayed DS Hall in the TV series The Commander. Additionally, he played Malchus in the 2013 mini-series The Bible and Mr. Hickfang in the 2014 film The Voices.
