Paul Courtenay Hyu Biography
Paul Courtenay Hyu is a British–Chinese actor, writer, and director known for his work in English and German. He is sometimes credited as Paul Hyu, particularly for his portrayal as Elvis Impersonator, 'ChineseElvis'. Born in London, Hyu attended Ashville College in Harrogate and excelled in drama, winning the school's drama prize. He also demonstrated his linguistic skills by winning the school's German prize. Hyu continued his education at the London Theatre School, studying under notable instructors such as Barbara Buckmaster and Norman Ayrton. In 1997, he took over as Artistic Director of the Mu-Lan Theatre Company. Hyu is recognized for his contributions to East Asian youth theater in the UK.
