Paul Gambaccini

Paul Matthew Gambaccini is an American-British radio and television presenter and author known as 'The Great Gambo' and 'The Professor of Pop'. Born on April 2, 1949, he holds dual United States and British nationality and became a British citizen in 2005. Gambaccini was a BBC Radio 1 presenter for 16 years, hosting a weekly show counting down the Billboard Top 30 songs. He has been a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4's arts programme Kaleidoscope and has made appearances on various British TV magazine shows. Gambaccini has also hosted several music-related series, including Paul Gambaccini's Hall of Heroes and Pick of the Pops on BBC Radio 2.
