Paul Hipp (born July 16, 1963) is an American actor, singer, songwriter, and filmmaker. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hipp grew up in Warminster. After high school, he moved to New York City where he began his career playing guitar and singing in Greenwich Village while studying acting with Mira Rostova and at HB Studio. Hipp found success as a musician and started landing roles on TV shows and commercials. His New York stage debut came in the off-Broadway show Rockabilly Road. Filmmaker Abel Ferrara noticed Hipp's talent and cast him in the film China Girl, leading to a long collaboration between the two. Hipp became a core member of Ferrara's group of actors that includes Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel, and Willem Dafoe.
