Paul Merson
Paul Charles Merson (born 20 March 1968) is an English former professional footballer, manager, commentator, and sports television pundit for Sky Sports. Originally a forward, Merson found success as an attacking midfielder and playmaker later in his career. He played for Arsenal for eleven seasons, winning multiple titles including the Football League Championship, FA Cup, Football League Cup, and the European Cup Winners' Cup. Merson then joined Middlesbrough, helping the club gain promotion to the Premier League. He later signed for Aston Villa and became club captain, featuring in the 2000 FA Cup Final. Merson finished his career at Portsmouth, where he served as captain. He is now a prominent football commentator and pundit.
