Paul Popplewell Biography
Paul Popplewell is a British actor known for his roles in various TV shows and films. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Simon in the BBC Two TV film drama Criminal (1994), which earned him the Best Actor award at the Golden Chest Film Festival and a nomination for Best Actor at the Royal Television Society Awards. Popplewell began his acting career at the age of 16, landing the lead role in Criminal. He later joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and played a leading role in their production of Bad Weather. In 2001, he portrayed Happy Mondays bassist Paul Ryder in the film 24 Hour Party People.
