Paul Sand

Paul Sand is an American actor and comedian, born on March 5, 1932, in Santa Monica, California. He began his journey in the performing arts at a young age, joining Viola Spolin's Children's Theatre Company at 11 years old. After attending Los Angeles State College, Sand moved to Paris at 18, where he caught the attention of renowned mime Marcel Marceau. Sand was invited to join Marceau's touring mime troupe. In 1960, Sand became a member of The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Chicago. He co-starred in the off-Broadway production The Mad Show in 1966. Sand received a Tony Award in 1971 for his performance in Paul Sills' Story Theatre on Broadway.
