Paul Venables Biography
Paul Venables (born February 3, 1962) is a British actor known for his work in film, television, radio, and theatre. He grew up in Devon and later trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Venables rose to prominence with his breakout role as Jamie Callender in the BBC TV series May to December. He has since appeared in various television shows including Wycliffe, Midsomer Murders, Blue Murder, Revelations, Silent Witness, Lewis, and Holby City. Venables has also played leading roles for the Royal Shakespeare Company and in the West End. Currently, he portrays the vet Jakob Hakansson in BBC Radio 4's The Archers. Venables is married to author Rachel Joyce and resides in Gloucestershire with his wife and four children.
