Paul Michael Slayton, professionally known as Paul Wall, is an American rapper and DJ. Born on March 11, 1981, he gained popularity through his affiliation with Swishahouse, releasing albums and collaborating with other label artists. Wall's career took off when he partnered with fellow Houstonian Chamillionaire, producing albums like 'Get Ya Mind Correct' in 2002. In 2005, he signed with Atlantic Records and achieved success with his major label debut 'The Peoples Champ.' He continued to release albums like 'Get Money, Stay True' in 2007. Wall's collaboration with rapper Nelly on the song 'Grillz' earned him a Grammy nomination. He attended Jersey Village High School and studied mass communications at the University of Houston.
