Paul Walter Hauser (born October 15, 1986) is an American actor known for his supporting roles in films such as I, Tonya (2017), BlacKkKlansman (2018), Late Night (2019), Da 5 Bloods (2020), and Cruella (2021). In 2019, he received critical acclaim for his breakout performance as the title character in Clint Eastwood's Richard Jewell, earning the National Board of Review Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Hauser has appeared in the miniseries Black Bird (2022) as convicted murderer Larry Hall, and in TV shows Kingdom and The Afterparty season 2. He was recognized for his role in Black Bird, winning a Critics' Choice Television Award and a Golden Globe Award, and receiving a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Hauser was born and raised in Michigan and attended Valley Lutheran High School.
