Paula Brancati (born June 6, 1989) is a Canadian actress best known for her work on Canadian television. She gained recognition for her roles in popular shows such as Being Erica, Slasher, and Dark Oracle. However, Brancati rose to prominence by portraying the character of Jane Vaughn on the long-running series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Born in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, she attended St. Elizabeth Catholic High School and studied with the CharActors Theatre Troupe. Brancati is of Italian descent and has showcased her talent in both television and theater. She is a co-founder of BrancSeater Productions and has produced several films, including People Hold On. Brancati's notable theater credit includes portraying Miss Honey in Matilda the Musical in Toronto, earning her two Dora Award nominations.
