Paula Elsa Jacobs (1932 – 26 June 2021) was a British actress known for her television and film career that spanned four decades. Born in Liverpool in 1932, she came from a Jewish family. Paula made her television debut in 1962 with an appearance in Z-Cars. Throughout her career, she appeared in various popular shows including Softly, Softly: Task Force, Shoestring, Hammer House of Horror, Mapp & Lucia, Mrs Biggs in Porterhouse Blue, The New Statesman, Bergerac, Jeeves and Wooster, Brookside, French and Saunders, Coronation Street, Casualty, Drop the Dead Donkey, Dalziel and Pascoe, Midsomer Murders, Agatha Christie's Poirot, and Doctors. In addition to her TV work, Paula also had notable film roles including Birth of the Beatles, An American Werewolf in London, She'll Be Wearing Pink Pyjamas, We Think the World of You, and Duel of Hearts.
