Paulina Susana Rubio Dosamantes, born June 17, 1971, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, and television personality. She gained recognition as a member of the popular pop group Timbiriche from 1982 to 1991. After leaving the group, Rubio pursued a successful solo career. With over 15 million records sold, she is considered one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. Rubio's early albums, 'La Chica Dorada' (1992) and '24 Kilates' (1993), were commercial hits and solidified her position as EMI Latin's top-selling Mexican female artist. In addition to her music, Rubio made her feature film debut in 'Bésame en la Boca' (1995).
