Peggy Rea Biography
Peggy Jane Rea (March 31, 1921 – February 5, 2011) was an American actress known for her many roles in television. She often portrayed matronly characters. Before her acting career, Rea worked as a production secretary at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in the 1940s. She then became an assistant to writer-musician Kay Thompson until their professional relationship ended in April 1948. Rea maintained friendly relations with Thompson's family even after their split. Rea's talent and resilience led her to secure a supporting role in the National Road Company, allowing her to continue her successful acting career. Throughout her life, Rea made significant contributions to the television industry.
