Penelope Mitchell

Penelope Mitchell is an Australian actress, born on July 24, 1991. She is best known for her roles as Letha Godfrey in the American horror television series 'Hemlock Grove' and Liv Parker in 'The Vampire Diaries'. Mitchell was born in Melbourne, Victoria to a French-born artist mother and an Australian entrepreneur father. She spent most of her childhood in Australia with her two older brothers and studied ballet from age 4 to 16. Mitchell excelled academically, graduating in the top 1% of her class with an International Baccalaureate diploma. She attended Melbourne University, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Arts: Media Communication before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Mitchell is the granddaughter of Lester Mitchell, MBE, and Heather Mitchell, OBE, both prominent agriculturalists and political activists.
