Penelope Windust Biography
Penelope Marjorie Windust (July 13, 1945 – February 2, 2022) was an American television, film, and stage actress. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Kathleen Maxwell in the 1983 miniseries V. Born in New York City, Windust was the daughter of actress Irene and director Bretaigne Windust. She studied drama at Pittsburgh's Carnegie Tech before its merger into Carnegie Mellon University. Windust began her career on Broadway, appearing in productions such as Spofford (1967) and Elizabeth I (1972). She appeared in notable films like Ghost Town and Bird (1988) and made guest appearances in various television shows, including Hawaii Five-O, The Six Million Dollar Man, and ER. Windust passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 76.
