Perry Mattfeld

Perry Frances Garcia Mattfeld is an American actress and producer. She is known for her roles as Mel in Shameless and FrankenGirl in Wizards of Waverly Place. Mattfeld was born and raised in Long Beach, California, and has Mexican heritage. She began her career as a ballet dancer and studied under Debbie Allen. As a child, she performed in Mattel's American Girl Dolls musical theater troupe. After graduating from Long Beach Poly high school, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from the University of Southern California School of Dramatic Arts. Mattfeld's most notable role is as Murphy Mason in The CW crime drama In the Dark, where she portrays a blind woman.
