Peter Boyle Biography
Peter Boyle (October 18, 1935 – December 12, 2006) was an American actor known for his work in film and television. He gained recognition for his role as Frank Barone on the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond and as the comical monster in Mel Brooks' film Young Frankenstein (1974). Boyle also starred in The Candidate (1972) and received critical acclaim for his performances in Joe (1970) and Taxi Driver (1976). He won an Emmy Award in 1996 for his guest-starring role on The X-Files. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Boyle began his acting career in Philadelphia and went on to establish himself as a versatile character actor.
