Art Campion Biography
Peter Campion (born 1976) is an American poet and educator. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA and from Boston University with an MA. Campion has taught at various institutions such as Washington College, Ashland University, and Auburn University. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Minnesota and serves as the head of the Department of Creative Writing. His poetry has been featured in prestigious publications including AGNI, ArtNews, The Boston Globe, Modern Painters, The New York Times, The New Republic, Poetry, Slate, and The Yale Review. Campion has received several honors throughout his career, including the Levis Reading Prize, a Pushcart Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Joseph Brodsky Rome Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He has also served as an editor for literary journals such as Literary Imagination and Great River Review.
