Peter Donat Biography
Peter Donat (born Pierre Collingwood Donat; January 20, 1928 – September 10, 2018) was a Canadian-American actor. Born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, he emigrated to the United States in 1950, studied drama at Yale University, and gained attention as a stage actor. Notable stage roles include Cyrano de Bergerac and The Canvas Barricade. Donat's television credits include appearances in Mission: Impossible, Banacek, The Waltons, Hawaii Five-O, and Mannix. He also portrayed Vince Conway on the Canadian series Moment of Truth, the only Canadian serial broadcast on a U.S. commercial network. Donat's younger brother, Richard Donat, is a fellow actor known for his role in the TV show Haven. Peter Donat passed away on September 10, 2018.
