Peter Eyre Biography
Peter Gervaise Joseph Eyre (born March 11, 1942) is an American-born English actor. He was born in New York City to Dorothy Pelline and Edward Joseph Eyre, a banker. At the age of 12, Eyre was sent to a public school in England, where he has been based ever since. Although offered a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art at 18, he chose to study acting in Paris. Eyre has had a successful career in the theatre, working with prestigious companies such as the Old Vic, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre, and The Old Vic Theatre Company. His film credits include 'Having a Wild Weekend' (1965), 'Julius Caesar' (1970), 'The Pied Piper' (1972), 'Mahler' (1974), 'Hedda' (1975), 'Luna' (1979), and 'Dragonslayer' (1981).
