Peter Mensah is a Ghanaian-British actor, born on August 27, 1959, known for his role as Oenomaus on the Starz television series Spartacus (2010-2013). He has appeared in various films including Tears of the Sun, Hidalgo, The Incredible Hulk, 300, and Avatar. Mensah was born in Chiraa, Ghana, and comes from an academic family. He moved to Hertfordshire, England, at a young age. Mensah began practicing martial arts at six and originally studied engineering. He arrived in Canada as an engineer for British Gas before pursuing a career in acting. Mensah's film credits also include Jason X, Harvard Man, Bless the Child, and The Seed, a short film produced and directed by Linkin Park's.
