Peter Penry-Jones

Peter Penry-Jones (20 May 1938 – 11 March 2009) was a Welsh actor known for his work in film and television. Born in Cardiff, Jones had a successful career that spanned several decades. Some of his notable television credits include Colditz, The Professionals, To the Manor Born, Bergerac, Howards' Way, Kavanagh QC, and Midsomer Murders. He also had the opportunity to work with Laurence Olivier at the National Theatre. Jones married actress Angela Thorne in 1967, and they had two sons who both became actors, Laurence and Rupert. Unfortunately, Jones passed away from bowel cancer in 2009 at the age of 70 in Anglesey.
