Peter Sarsgaard

John Peter Sarsgaard (born March 7, 1971) is an American actor. He gained recognition for his roles in films such as Dead Man Walking (1995), The Man in the Iron Mask (1998), Boys Don't Cry (1999), and Shattered Glass (2003), which earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination. Sarsgaard has also appeared in Garden State, Kinsey, Jarhead, Elegy, An Education, Lovelace, Blue Jasmine, Black Mass, Jackie, and The Lost Daughter. He has showcased his versatility in both independent and blockbuster films, including Knight and Day, Green Lantern, The Magnificent Seven, and The Batman. In 2023, Sarsgaard won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor for his performance in Memory.
