Petey Pablo

Petey Pablo, born Moses Barrett III on July 22, 1973, is an American rapper from Greenville, North Carolina. He gained fame with his 2003 crunk hit 'Freek-a-Leek'. After serving five years in prison for armed robbery, he moved to New York City where he met Black Rob and Busta Rhymes. Petey Pablo was signed to Jive Records after impressing an A&R director with his rapping skills in a club bathroom. His debut album, 'Diary of a Sinner: 1st Entry', was released in 2001 and produced the hit single 'Raise Up'. The album reached number 13 on the Billboard 200 and achieved Gold certification by the RIAA.
