Peyton Manning is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 18 seasons. Born on March 24, 1976, Manning spent 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and four with the Denver Broncos. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Manning comes from the prestigious Manning football dynasty as the second son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and the older brother of former NFL quarterback Eli Manning. He played college football at Tennessee, where he achieved numerous awards and led his team to victory in the 1997 SEC Championship. Manning was selected as the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Colts and played a crucial role in transforming the struggling franchise into consistent playoff contenders.
