Phil Burgers, also known as Philip Burgers, is an American writer, comedy performer, director, and clown teacher. He gained recognition for his character Dr Brown, a physical character in an absurd world. Burgers began his career in 2007 after training at the French clown school Ecole Philippe Gaulier. From 2009 to 2011, he toured internationally with his shows 'Dr Brown Because' and 'Dr Brown Becaves,' performing at events such as Prague Fringe and Hong Kong Microfest. Since 2011, Burgers has collaborated with Stuart Bowden in family shows like 'The Dr Brown Brown Brown Brown Brown and his Singing Tiger.' His work has received awards, including Best Children's Presentation at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Director's Choice at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2012.
