Phil Rizzuto
Philip Francis Rizzuto, also known as 'the Scooter', was an American Major League Baseball shortstop who played his entire 13-year career with the New York Yankees from 1941 to 1956. Known for his strong defense and bunting skills, Rizzuto was a key player in the Yankees' dynasty that won 10 American League titles and seven World Championships during his tenure. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994. Rizzuto holds several World Series records for shortstops and was named the American League's Most Valuable Player in 1950. After retiring from baseball, he had a successful 40-year career as a radio and television sports announcer.
