Philip Sterling Biography
Philip Sterling (October 9, 1922 – November 30, 1998) was an American film and television actor known for his roles in various TV shows. He portrayed Dr. Winston Croft in 28 episodes of the American daytime soap opera The Doctors and Judge Truman Ventnor in 21 episodes of Sisters. Additionally, he appeared as Dr. Simon Weiss in 12 episodes of St. Elsewhere. Sterling made guest appearances on several popular shows including The Golden Girls, M*A*S*H, The Rockford Files, and The A-Team. He also appeared in Barney Miller, L.A. Law, Matlock, Guiding Light, and Hotel. Philip Sterling passed away at the age of 76 in November 1998 due to complications from myelofibrosis.
