Phina Oruche Biography
Phina Oruche is a Nigerian British actress, radio presenter, and former model. Born on August 31, 1969, in Liverpool, England, to Nigerian parents of Igbo descent, Oruche began her career as a fashion model in London before moving to New York City. She represented Gap for five years in the United States and appeared as a cover model on several American magazines. Oruche transitioned to acting after being discovered by British film director Tony Kaye, who cast her in numerous TV commercials. Her most notable role came as Liberty Baker in ITV's 'Footballers' Wives,' for which she received a Screen Nations Award for Favourite TV Star. In 2020, she appeared in the BBC dramas 'Anthony' and 'Taken.'
