Phoebe Nicholls Biography
Phoebe Sarah Nicholls is an English film, television, and stage actress. Born on April 7, 1957, she is known for her roles as Cordelia Flyte in Brideshead Revisited and as the mother of John Merrick in The Elephant Man. Nicholls is the daughter of actors Anthony Nicholls and Faith Kent, and she trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She married director Charles Sturridge on July 6, 1985, and they have two sons, Tom and Arthur, and a daughter Matilda. With a career spanning several decades, Nicholls has primarily worked in television and theatre, appearing in notable productions such as Whose Life Is It Anyway? and Three Sisters.
