Pieter Jan Brugge

Pieter Jan Brugge is a Dutch film producer, born on November 6, 1955, in Deventer, Netherlands. He graduated from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam in 1979. Brugge was awarded a scholarship by the Dutch Ministry of Cultural Affairs to study at the AFI Conservatory in the United States, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with acclaimed directors such as Edward Zwick, Alan J. Pakula, and Michael Mann. In addition to producing notable films like 'Heat' and 'The Insider,' Brugge also directed 'The Clearing' in 2004 and had an acting role in '127 Hours' in 2010.
