Pooja Batra Shah is an Indian-American actress and model born on October 27, 1975. She gained recognition after winning the runner-up title at the Femina Miss India contest in 1993 and being crowned Femina Miss India International 1993. Representing India, she also participated in Miss International 1993. Pooja was born to Ravi Batra, a colonel in the Indian Army, and Neelam Batra, a former Miss India participant. She has two brothers and is related to Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a decorated martyr. Pooja excelled in athletics during her school days and competed in the 200 and 400-meter dash. She holds a degree in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune, and an MBA in marketing from Symbiosis, Pune. Pooja began her modeling career at a young age and is widely recognized for her Liril soap commercials.
