Joanna Gabrielle 'Pooky' Quesnel is an English actress, screenwriter, and singer. Born on April 30, 1966, in Eccles, Lancashire, Quesnel grew up with five siblings. She studied English at Oxford University before attending the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. Quesnel's career in the 1980s included performing in Humphrey Carpenter's Vile Bodies band and a tribute concert to him. In 2003, she ventured into screenwriting, contributing scripts to shows like Doctors and Family Affairs. Quesnel has appeared in various TV series, including Cardiac Arrest, Thief Takers, Cold Feet, and The Golden Hour. Notably, she portrayed Nita in the BBC One series True Dare Kiss.
