Punkie Johnson

Punkie Johnson, born Jessica Williams on April 29, 1985, is an American stand-up comedian, actress, and writer. She gained recognition for her performances at The Comedy Store in California and joined the cast of NBC's Saturday Night Live as a featured player for its 46th season in 2020. In 2022, she was promoted to repertory status for the show's 48th season. Raised by her mother, Mary Johnson, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Punkie attended Catholic and public schools before graduating from McDonogh 35 High School in 2003. She went on to study at Nicholls State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies in 2008. Apart from her comedy career, she has also appeared in various television shows and movies.
